On Mother's Day my husband gave me my first ever peeps. 4 Brown Leghorns. 4 Barred Rocks. 3 Buff Orpingtons. Neither one of us knows a thing about raising chickens. For the first 2 weeks we kept them in a large bin in the garage under a heat lamp. My husband built a coop and we moved them in last Saturday. So far so good. It's amazing how fast they are growing and changing. It's fun and relaxing to just sit and watch them do their chicky stuff. With the advice and help of our friend and neighbor and BYC members, I'm sure our chicken raising adventure will be a success!
