First time chicken owner!!

My name is Tammy and my family is very excited about finally having chickens! We have had them since a couple weeks before Easter and would love to know what kind of chickens I have. So any advice would be welcome!!! Thanks!!

Welcome! I am a first-timer too! I have 8 chickens (2 Barred Rock, 3 Buff Orpington and 3 Ameraucana - I think). We go ours a week after Easter, so they are about 7-8 weeks old now. They are in the basement, but moving out to the coop next weekend! We are very excited.

Thanks!!! We got them from Tractor supply, had no idea what we were getting! They only had 7 left so we took all 7, only one didn't make it ...... I am in love with my chickens!!
