Just joined and have a million questions about my chickens. It's my first time raising. I bought them as little chicks in February, and still have no eggs! Am I doing something wrong? Just switched to layer feed and started oyster shell. They are white rocks. I have 4 hens and a rooster.

BYC has a very useful learning center

Oh nothing wrong there as I believe about 30+ weeks for that size of a chicken is normal...

This is a little 2 pound pullet who started producing egg's at 15 weeks
and I put her in a solo cage to keep track of her so I really do know
when she started and by week 20 went broody and week 23 chicks ..

I took this photo of her 10 July 2014 and she was 25 week old
and doing a fine job as a Mom,ma ....

Oh she is a Easter Egger pullet but they develop very fast and others take some time to do things like produce egg's and some chickens go broody more often then others ....

Welcome to BYC! Depending on the date in February when you bought them, they are only between 5 and 6 months old. Most dual purpose breeds, including White Rocks don't start laying until the 6th month. Just be patient with them and keep feeding them layer feed, and I'm sure they will start laying before long. Good luck with your flock.

At night when I close them up in the coop, all 5 are sleeping in one nesting box all together. I'm afraid that they will never lay eggs this way. I have 4 nesting boxes, they sleep in the same one every night!

They should be sleeping on perches, not in the nesting boxes. Block the nest boxes at night and encourage them to use the perches instead. Hope you get some eggs soon!

X2 on sumi's advice.
