First time chickens w/ toddler

We are really excited. We have just started our chicken family. We have wanted to turn our focus on where our food comes from for quite sometime. Step one was vegetable gardening. Step two is chickens. Having a toddler, we are really excited to teach him about food, farming and general responsibility.

We are I'm Suquamish, WA. Can't wait to make chicken friends!!

Hello and Welcome!! We have young kids too! 11, 7, 5 and 3. We also have been talking to our kids about where our food comes from especially once my younger two were born. They have food allergies that are very severe and we have changed our eating to eat foods that are raw, with little to no processing. We are all feeling better each yr. We are getting our chicks next month and we are so excited to add this to our gardening!
