First time duck mommy here!

I have 6 ducklings 4 are 3 weeks old and the other 2 are 2 weeks old..... any advice is very much welcomed oh and wow they grow so fast!

Yipeee! Ducklings are so much fun! And boy oh boy your not kidding they grow fast! The one thing that I like to remember is that when it comes to ducks, your never done cleaning them! LOL No really, I change the bedding in the brooder everyday, even if it looks clean-it won't be for long!

Have you taken them swimming yet or out in the yard? And as a special treat, mine go crazy for dried mealworms!

The older ones have had one bath but not the other 2 and no outside yet still a little cold here in Indiana when can they start eatting worms and greens? what age?

People have different answers but I actually start giving mine greens and worms at around week old.(sometimes just a teensy bit younger!) So I think yours are plenty old enough! Just introduce new foods in small amounts and they will be fine!

I just picked up two Pekins yesterday that were free on CL. They are 3 weeks old and they are huge! Seem to be about the size of my full grown chickens. We have only had chickens so I'm new to the world of ducks as well. So far they are just living in a crate in our basement but when they are old enough I plan to let them roam the yard (city lot right now) with the chickens. This summer we are moving to 10 acres with a pond so that should keep them happy. I am trying to learn all things duck as it seems they are a bit different than chickens. A lot messier too!

I agree with megan amber. Mine go crazy for meal worms. They could eat me out of house and home for them lol. There's a couple of threads I'm going to post here just to help you guys out. There's a lot of information on this site but sometimes its hard t find it. This ones for duckling care https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/750869/raising-and-caring-for-ducklings. The next thing is yes ducklings can have treats but they must also have grit in order to digest it. Grit is basically sand. I started to feed mine treats when they were 2 days old. I gave them dried meal worms. I figured if they were in the wild they would be eating worms and stuff like that right off.
