First time duck owner here

Well I’ve added 4 ducklings to my menagerie! 2 Pekin and 2 Khaki Campbell (I think). Messy little devils .

Yes, I also got (because I’m a chump) 5 month-old chicks. My reading indicated that the ducklings didn’t need as high heat as chicks, but since the chicks aren’t newborn, I’m thinking it will roughly equal out. I’m keeping the lamp at a level where the area under is at 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Do you think that’s ok? They said the ducklings are 2-3 weeks old. I don’t see any feathers though, just down. Thanks!

The numbers sound okay, cold ducklings will huddle and mabye peep alot
Of course even warm ducklings can huddle to sleep even in the right tempurature so trust your instincts and be observant

Yesterday I moved them into their own brooder because I wanted to be sure on the temp, plus they were making a big water mess that I doubt the baby chicks appreciated.

I have 6 little monsters in a brooder right now...I'd forgotten what a mess! I am loving the puppy pads this go around though...wrap them all up and toss it all out!
Mine are 5 days old today and have gone through 3 waterers full today!! They've discovered their love for water playing
