My big girls are finally getting to explore the coop! Still need to make a better frame for the bottom I think. I'm new to this so everything is a learning experience at this point. Should I bring them back inside at night for a couple days? I'm clueless about how to do this lol:barnie

No need to bring them inside at night now. They are fully feathered adults, right? and the weather is plenty warm where you are! They will explore and find places to roost and lay and be just fine! :hugs

They are 6.5 weeks old
They are fine outside at that age! Don't worry so much. My chicks were outside at two days! The weather is warm, feathers are the warmest covering an animal can have, so relax! Let them explore and get to know their home! Just be sure they have plenty of food and water! If needed you can have a glass of wine!

Wine sounds lovely right now! Thanks for the reassurance

You may just want to make sure that they go into the coop part to sleep at night though.. they may need assistance for awhile until they get they hang of where to sleep.. unless they already know ;)... and you may already know this as well... :)

I was thinking that as well. Maybe put them in at dusk and lock it down? They have trouble with the ramp though, not sure how to teach them that part

Yes, put them in and lock it up.. they will eventually know where to go.. and they will get the hang of the ramp.. you may need to do it for a week or so.. and then one day just wait till after dusk and see if they got.. I came home late once and found they went in on their own..
