I’ve got three girls, about 6–7 weeks old for eggs, and their coop is secure. They spend the whole day outside, and up until now, I’ve been bringing them inside before dusk—which is a total pain lugging the kennel, wood shavings, and all the extras. They positively adore their coop during the day- the door is open during the day, and they often prefer it inside than free-exploration unless I lead the way. S
Last night, I was completely wiped and figured it’d be their first full night in the coop (it's around 78°F at night and mid-80s during the day). But right at dusk, they started screaming their heads off. I totally chickened out and brought them back in. o maybe a bit of separation anxiety. OR the weather here has been a nightmare with on and of showers- and they can sense the pressure changes?
I could really use some suggestions on how to transition them to overnights in the coop. Is it just a tough love situation?
