i was looking for advice on my first hatch a long. Do I need to move the hen right after first few days of sitting on eggs or can I wait till a few days before they’re due to hatch? I was thinking of waiting because this hen goes broody often and loves the same nesting spot. I am concerned if I move her now she’ll get too upset and not want to finish sitting on the eggs.
Also any suggestions on how to transfer her?

Why do you need to move her?
Well only reason is my nesting boxes are high up so I just thought it’d be unsafe for the new baby chicks once they’re hatched to be that high. So I was thinking of giving her a box down on the ground of the coop?.... I don’t know, that’s why I need some thoughts

I would not worry about it until after they hatch, then try and help them down before they fall from the nest box. Broodies don't like to be moved.
