I’m a first time Hatcher. I was hoping to get some advice since everyone here helped me successfully hatch some babies
I hatched 5 chicks under two Broody hens, one has two babies, one has 3. During incubation, I got worried I wasn’t going to successfully hatch so I put 3 eggs in an incubator also. One was an early quitter, two survived through lockdown. One hatched this morning, the other egg, I’m not sure if it’s ok or not and I don’t want to lift the lid to candle because the new chick is still wet in the incubator. I may be jumping the gun here but I’m worried that I may only get one baby. The chicks with the hens are approx 2 weeks old. My question is, could I bring one of the young chicks in so this little one that just hatched has a friend or is two weeks to much of an age difference? My local tractor supply has chicks but you have to get 6 and I don’t have room for that many more. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
