Hi All
This is my first hatch
Everything I have read tells me to drop the humidity after chicks start to hatch
I have 2 hatch, 1 i think has died with his beak sticking out of the shell and another still hatching.
I had 8 altoghter
How do I reduce the humidity without opening incubator and when do I do it?
We are on day 21

I would just leave them. You shouldn't open the incubator at all between lockdown (Day 18) and when your last chick hatches. I know it's hard not to, especially if you think a chick is struggling, but unless you plan on helping a chick get out (and I would only do this if no others are currently pipped, or you could put the others in danger) I would just leave it be. If 2 have hatched, sounds like your humidity is in a safe range. Give it a bit and see how they do. I know your first time seems to take forever and the worry is enough to drive you nuts, but it'll all be over soon! Good luck and give updates with pics when they're all out!

Thanks
There are now 4 hatched.
I have 3 more that have pipped. All 3 have shown no further progress.
Temp at 37.5 and humidity is at 74%

From what I read here on BYC, it is usually about 6 to 14 hours from pip to zip. Although, it is not unusual to have one pip and zip quickly.
Zipping should take 60 to 90 minutes.

How long ago did they pip? If it hasn't been at least 12 hours, I wouldn't be concerned. I've had some zip after being pipped for almost 20 hours! Fingers crossed for your 3 to make it out! What happened to the 8th? Is that the one that pipped and died?

ETA: Those are some cuties ya got there! Congrats!

The other 3 pipped by 10pm last night - 16 hours ago. 1 of those 3 has a beak stuck out with no movement
The 8th no pipping
