First time hatching duck eggs, is this normal?

Hatching my Swedish ducks' eggs(only two right now) in a mini brinsea incubator. First time ever! It's day 28 and I woke up to this. Does this look too dry? Hygrometer says 72%

72% should be good. That's a pip. Ducks can take two days (48 hours) after they do that to finally get out, but most don't take that long.

As tempting as it is, it's best to just leave the incubator closed. If those two hatch, wait until they are dried off and fluffy before opening it to check the third one.

If that third one pips say tonight or tomorrow, and the other ones have hatched, I would let those ducklings sit in there and wait until he hatches. They can live off that yolk they just absorbed for 72 hours, so no need to worry about them being hungry/thirsty yet.

So it externally pipped about 8 hours ago and there have been no changes since. I can hear faint peeping every now and then when I hold my head close to the incubator. Humidity is going between 72 and 74. Do I just keep waiting? How will I know if it's shrink wrapped or something else is wrong?

Also the above picture where it pipped is at the narrower end of the egg. Is that ok?

Ducklings take longer than chicks to pip and zip.
That looks normal to me.
I’ve had a few pip on the narrow end and they were able to hatch on their own.
May have taken a little longer.

It's been 24 hours since it externally pipped(at narrower end of egg) with no changes. I hear very faint peeping now and then. Humidity still around 74. Should I just be patient and give it more time?
