I am so excited to join Backyard Chickens! Always find the information we need for our chickens. We just took our first run at hatching eggs. We have rhode island reds and golden hens. Our rooster is a barred rock. I cant wait to see what our babies will look like. I have already noticed spots of opposite colors on each chick.

We started with 30 eggs and narrowed it down to a dozen after candling. So far we have had 3 eggs hatch. Today is hatch day and all three came early. Hoping for at least one more.
