hi all

i'm new to this website and new to hatching goslings

i bought 2 gosling eggs on the 03/05/2020

i rested them for a day and then started incubating them on the 04/05/2020

they both are embden geese eggs and both weighed 166g pre incubation.

turning 4 times a day

i've read from various sources they have to loose around 15% of there laid weight which is 141g

i have got the eggs at a constant of 37.5c and a humidity 30-35% (first 3 days) and then raised to 40-45%

i was loosing too much weight too fast with lower humidity hence the reason why i raised it a little.

i've just weighed the eggs and they weight 159g where they should weight approx 161g

should i increase the humidity even more ?

also when should i start to mist the eggs ?

many thanks

Going by the casportpony school of goosing, hunh? (she's got her new goslings weighed and tagged, too.)

It threw me off when you said 04/05/20. In the States, we flip day and month, for some reason. (I'm tossing this out there, so that other readers from the States can know what's going on.)

@Pyxis likes geese, and knows a lot about hatching, so I'll tag her and watch.

egg 1 has no veins but little black dot in centre of the yolk
egg 2 has lots of veins all over

both put in the incubator at the same time

is egg 1 bad ?

thanks
