I have 3 Khaki duck eggs due to hatch in 5 days.

Egg one; (my duck: Moo-Shu). I have noticed the air-cell has gotten bigger and I can see a small shadow along the edge of the air-sack it looks like the duck wiggling under the membrane. Sometimes when the duck moves I can see the egg jiggle.

Should I take this egg off the turner? How noticeable is it once they pip through? How long will I see him moving below the membrane before he pips through? No need to "help" him out, he's not struggling right?

Egg two; (my fiance & sons duck: Ming-Ming). Is about at the same point as Moo-Shu but the air sack is about half the size and I don't see him moving beneath the membrane. I can see him moving just not against the membrane yet. Do I need to adjust temp or humidity for him?

Egg three; (my dad's: unnamed). I'm pretty sure is having a struggle. Where Moo-Shu & Ming-Ming are taking up their whole egg this one is not that big. It only takes about 2/3 of his egg. Not to mention his egg is slightly smaller then the others. He's about a large chicken egg and the others are like jumbo chicken eggs. I saw him move right along and he still is as of today. All eggs went in at the same time, so I assume they should ALL be progressing the same. 2 days ago we almost had a disaster with this egg. When I was candling the egg I almost dropped him. The egg actually came out of my hand and I caught it out of the air. I noticed a little crack on the bottom of his shell. Not big at all! and doesn't go all the way through the egg and nothing has come out of the egg through the crack. He has moved since the mishap and was having what I call "growing problems" before this happened.

Will all the ducks hatch on the same day? Am I over thinking this and stressing too much? I'm very nervous and anxious about the whole hatching process. I'm so afraid I will do something wrong and they won't hatch properly if at all.

The duck I just hatched I saw moving against the air cell before lock down I waited and it hatched okay. Maybe someone else can help you too. I personally would wait until your lock down date. Good luck - Good hatching vibes coming your way.

I checked Moo-Shu this morning and he has internally pipped!

When they do that, should they be taken off the turner? I'm due to take all of them off tomorrow. Since I can see so much of "Egg #3's" yolk and stuff (he still has some growing to do.) should I delay taking him off the turner. I don't want him sticking to his shell....

take them off the turner and up the humidity. If it has internally pipped it wont be long. The other will be ok without turning. They dont get turned for 3 days anyway during lockdown. If you are worried you can hand turn just make sure no one has pipped.

Is there a sure way to know when you should intervene? I'm so scared I will do something wrong...not help when I should..help when I shouldn't. I'm really set on letting them do it on there own. But I want them all to survive and be healthy too.

How are your eggs doing??? Ours are due the 28th also. We have 9, which were all doing well when we candled them several days ago. This is the first time we have hatched eggs and I am so nervous we are doing something wrong and none of them will make it!

We've seen nearly all of the eggs rock back and forth a bit in the last day, but nothing else visible happening yet. We thought we hear some peeps out of them this morning, but there are so many birds outside it is hard to say!

I've got one that has external pip and starting to zip. :-D One internal pipped and the other I think is a muscovy duck. Not sure how it's doing or if it's allive. I can't open the incubator anymore. :-(

Sounds great!

I will be interested in knowing how it turns out for you!
I am trying not to worry about our eggs, but I am so anxious to see something happen. We switched them to a different incubator part way through because the first one wouldn't stay regulated. Twice the temp went up to 104 overnight

. We were sure we would lose them after that, but they kept developing normally.

I was going to stop checking my eggs for awhile because I was just worrying about nothing happening, but we have our first pip!!!

And the way some of the other eggs are jiggling around hopefully we will have more soon! How long after your first pip until you saw more progress?
