Hello all, this is mostly just me posting because of all the excitement here today. We had a fox wipe out a good chunk of our flock about a month ago so I threw some eggs in an incubator to try and salvage what we could. I know its the wrong time of year but I figured they would be inside chickens for a while longer than normal. Anyway we have 7 that have pipped so far today and the kids are super excited. I'll post pictures later if I remember to.

I'm sorry to hear about the fox. :hugs I'm sure before you put more chickens out there you've fixed it up. 1/2" hardware cloth will keep a fox out.

But hey, this post is about celebrating! :yesss:🎉 Congrats on the pips! Yes, we'd love to see pictures! Oh, and @BoundlessLove is very right; incubating/hatching is so addictive!

The issue was not the pen, The issue was my daughter and her friend left the door open overnight.....but yeah that issue has been fixed.
