it is first time hatching eggs, today one hatched with a what looks like a bloody sack coming out of its back side, what is it and what do I do?

Though I am not a hatcher, I do know that some things can sort themselves out, but not everything. If you can post a photo that will help.

@Lacrystol and @subhanalah may be able to help, and you could check in on the 2014 broody thread, too. Let me continue the call for help.
 
Maybe it is a prolapse? Try pushing it back through the vent and if it doesn't stay in then go to the vet if you're really concerned as it could get flies or even maggots.

This is probably the egg sac. try not to touch it or you can introduce bacteria. leave it alone till we get you experienced help.
 
Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! You might want to post in the Emergencies forum https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures It might be an unabsorbed yolk sack. You might try putting the chick in a small jar or plastic tub to let it continue absorbing the yolk sack without being disturbed, not sure if you have seen it, but the Hatching Eggs 101 article talks about open navels and unabsorbed yolk sacks etc and some things to try, about 3/4 way down the page. https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101 this article talks about problems with yolk sacks https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/mushy-chick-disease-yolk-sack-infection-omphalitis Whether or not they make it depends on exactly what is wrong. Kelsie X2 That is the unabsorbed egg sac. You can wrap the babies back end in a damp paper towel and keep him at 99 to 100 degrees F in the brooder. Sometimes they absorb these things back in. Kelsie has left you with a couple links to follow. I hope the little guy makes it.
 
chances are I have already done wrong. after the little guy dried off and could move around the incubator good, I took him out and put it in the brooder box with the others thinking it was one that needs the heat without the moisture to dry and thinking in a day or so it would fall off like a belly button. as of now the little guy is doing as good as the others did at this stage.
 
How long does it take a chick to hatch after it has pipped cause I have one that pipped about 40 hours ago and hasn't hatched but piped a day early. Please help I'm new to this !!!
