First time I have been unsure in along time!

Raising chickens en mass like I have done for the last two years I have gotten pretty good at determining whether I have a cockerel or pullet pretty early, sometimes as soon as they hatch, most times before 3-4 weeks... This guy/gal has me stumped.. I will be honest, of course I am hoping for a pullet, I have hatched so many Blue Orp/EE crosses and this is the first time I have an almost pure blue EE that I think might be a pullet... All my others (cockerels) have the showy colors by this age and no doubts at sex... So up for your consideration (and help) is my 3-3.5 month old chicken....

Cockerel or Pullet??

I agree; the bird is in very heavy shadow and we don't have a good profile shot of it.

I will try and get a better one.. Everything screams pullet to me too, but then it will stand a certain way and I am like hmmm.... I'll get better shots

I know, if it lays an egg its a hen and if it crows it isn't

I agree it could possibly be a cockerel. You should send her, err, it to me just in case.....she's incredibly cute! Blue hens that lay blue eggs are my breeding project when I get home.....
