Our only experience with incubators in the past has been with those little yellow dome "toys". They can work, but we didn't have much success.

A friend let us borrow a larger more automated incubator. We have 12 Silkie eggs in it for the first run. Here is the first little one to come out to greet us!

Congrats! I tried one of those dome things! I say BOO to that! I made my own incubators, I started with a styrofoam one. Since I always hatched small batches in card board boxes. it seemed a waste to have such a big box. Now I am down to 2 small boxes. I cant pass objects with out thinking if they would make a good bator or not.

Congrats! It's very cute! I'd recommend not taking the lid off for very long at all though. The humidity dropping will cause the membranes in the other eggs to shrink and stick to the chicks still trying to get out which limits their ability to move. Good luck with the rest of your hatch!
