First Time Incubating...Advice???

Hi!! So I finally got an incubator after wanting one for months. It's a Little Giant 9200 Still Air 40 watt incubator. It's awesome! This is my first time incubating, so I need some help. I have it all set up already with eggs in it. There Silkie/Polish eggs. I know, weird lol. But our Polish rooster LOVES my Silkie hens. I have it set at the right humidity,temperature, ect. I know after about 21 days they'll hatch. And I know I have to turn them every 8 hours...is that correct? Any other advice will be greatly appreciated since this is my first time!!

Turn as often as you want, as long as it's not more than once an hour and that you stop turning on day 18 (lockdown). Good luck with your hatching! Mine are on day 9

Oh really?? Huh, I'll just keep it 8 hours then. It's easy haha. Thank you!! You too! What breed are you hatching?

Awww, I have one RIR hen that I love! She's just the sweetest thing and full of personality. They really are some of the cutest chicks Good luck!

You will find your incubator much easier to hold a steady temperature if you either fill it with eggs or add a bunch of rocks or capped up water jars or something for thermal mass. Those still air incubators are know to be tough to keep regulated as it is, you may have trouble with only 1 egg or even a small clutch

It's actually holding the temperature very well, thank you though! And I'm going to be adding more eggs. Just waiting for my Silkie girls to pop out some more! Haha
