When I found a propagator in my shed, after many years of wanting chickens I decided to get some fertilized eggs. I got 6 salmon faverolls eggs and they have been incubating for 36 hours. Is there anyway I can tell if they are fertile/ developing yet? Also about 3 times the temperature has gone down to about 34c and it has also risen as well , will this ruin the eggs? I just put kettle water in a bowl and put it in with the eggs
Anything would help I just really want them to hatch so I can take care of them :)

Where did you get your eggs, and will any eggs that are fertilized work? I am thinking about getting an incubator, the girls are at 3 months now, I want to keep on adding to my flock. rg's

@Rustys Girls I got it from someone into far from me, I found them on pets for homes. For chicks to grow , the eggs have to be fertilised and for it to be fertilised , the hen must have mated with a cockerel. Hope I helped

Thanks, my friend has over 100 chickens, and she has 3 Roosters, I will talk to her about eggs. I get my fresh eggs from her now. rg's
