Just hatched out my first attempt at incubating quail. Had 50 Bobwhite quail eggs in a Maticoop that I bought after reading some decent reviews on it. So far about 25 have hatched since 3am yesterday. Not to bad for a first timer and especially after a delay by the postal service delivering the eggs. Had to pull a 12 hr shift tonight so we’ll see what’s in the incubator when I get home this morning. Brooder set up and ready. I already want a bigger incubator. This is fun.

50% hatch is about normal for shipped eggs. That's very good for your first time....probably has ruined you though 
may not happen again for some time! ....but then again, you could get a higher hatch rate the next time!
