Quail goes into lockdown tomorrow.

Mines are already pipping. I really like my incubator. Got it in a good price and does very well in staggered hatches.

Chicken eggs went into lockdown yesterday and quail hatched today!

So update. 2 hatched, 1 died in its sleep just a couple of minutes ago. I tried everything to keep it awake. But sadly couldn't. So right now the chick is going to be without a friend till the next two hatch in 2 days.

Yes it is sad, But good news is that incubator still has 100% hatch rate. No deaths so far which I am very happy about. Only spent 50$!

Here is a bad quality pic for now. Doesn't capture a whole bunch of the shadows or the chubbiness. The chick came out as big as an average week 1 1/2, non bantam chick.
