I keep reading contradicting advice....

Do I preheat my incubator ready for my eggs? Or do I put the eggs in then turn the incubator on and let eggs & incubator temp rise together?

Thanking in advance for any advice...

YOu let youre incubator run for at least 24 hours to make shure it will stay steady, Also remmber once you have it running steady and put the eggs in , THE TEMP WILL DROP . THere is no need to correct the temp dont touch anything its just the cooler eggs catching up to temp and will go back to normal in anywhere between 2-12 or so hours .
GOod luck

I would definitely turn my bator on and get my temp and humidity at the level I want it before I ever put my eggs in. I usually run mine for 2-3 days before I ever put eggs in to make sure my temp and humidity will be stable. I have only finished 3 hatches. 1st hatch was 20 out of 27, 2nd was 7 out of 9, 3rd was 9 out of 10. Those were chicken eggs. I am on my 4th hatch but it is ducks so we will see what happens.
