First time incubator questions.

5 beautiful healthy chicks! The last one i got to watch. It was awesome watching that baby break through the shell. Now they're all 5 drying out, and resting.

Yay! Congrats¡!!! Was so excited for you I had to go look at mine and I can't believe my eyes, there's a pipper! They're not supposed to hatch until tomorrow! OMG, OMG OMG - sqeal!

It was awesome seeing Amelia/Amelio pip. The youngest one has to dry out before you can really see it but man. I feel like a proud mama. Now I want to try ducks lol. I have a friend who's mom has some and she said I could have some eggs. I'm going to call the lady about the turkens also. Way to go Foghorn, and my girls for providing healthy babies.

I watched the last one hatch. It's still really wet and drowned rattish right now. Way to go Foghorn, and girls. I guess getting the egg turner made a big difference.

I'm guessing better humidity and temperature control helped just as much as the turner,

But whatever it was, it worked!!!!

I just installed fan in one and the power went off night before hatch.I have one full of white quail and one with silkies,the new gennis all have chicks,due next week.My grandson dropped the only easter egg egg,playing wit candler.I used the 2 little giants with no fan since last September.the ist hatch with quail was 26 out 28.From 1 male and 2 hens I hatched over than 70 quail.Had to stop with quail got to many.Im hatching out silkies ive hatched out about 60%,i was and am still sick and haven't turned them right.You will hear them chirping even fore they pip..Ive run 2 all year,but didn't have fan until a few months back.Keep another theromter in it.If you install a fan you can only use about 2 chanles,keep temp sensor under controller.iM JUST USINGONE IN RT FRONT ON TOP OF AGES.i ORDERED A GOOD HUMINDY gage,but it was backorderes,so they sold me a 48.00 ONE ONLY MAYBE 1 OR 22 POINTS DIFFERENT [/qflags How exciting! Love the photo of the little ones bunched together How are the ones standing on the wire? I think that's a great idea but wondering if they need to be a certain age or if there is any concerns I should be aware of in the event I choose to do something like that? We have a spare dog crate I'm thinking about using to experiment with dealing with the chicks from the side as opposed to the top like we've been doing. There was an article on BYC I read the other day about it. And have you ever experienced sprattle legs using the box for a floor? Yours & Brahmas babies are beautiful!!

She/he finally hatched 5 minutes ago! Bless her heart it took so long and a lot of work on her/his part. Yay!
