First time mama hatch

Have any more hatched, and has the hen been willing to accept them?

I have had 3 hatch with 4 more in the incubator waiting to hatch. I tried to put the first incubator hatch with momma that night and she took it. That morning next though, every time it tried to get under her she pecked the heck out of it so I brought it back in and am using the heating pad method I found online in the forum.

Sometimes they will accept foster chicks (especially silkies) even after imprinting on their original other times they are rejected. Good luck for more hatching.

I was really hoping she would take them. The two she hatched herself were already a week old. The one I added was just too slow to keep up I think. Mom seemed impatient. I could try again with these 3. I was afraid to leave them out with her if she rejected them because of the cold.

At this point, I would just brooder raise these and any more chicks that hatch.
