I just cleaned the heck out of the coop and sprinkled poultry dust under shavings and on roosts.

Next is to dust the birds. But how can I catch them?!

Is it ok to let them in the clean coop now and dust them at night when they are still?

From what I can tell they have northern fowl mites. I saw one on an egg, picked up a chicken and saw about 5 on her. The coop nor the chicken was teeming with them so I am hoping it is not too bad.

Just ordered DE to help keep things clean.

Is there anything else I should do or know??

Thanks! as always, love you guys!!

I wait untill dark 30 when they are on the roost. with a flash light I catch, dust and put in dog crate one at a time and then release. Much less stress for you and the chickens. Dust now and again in 10 days to get nits.
