We got our first flock in the late summer 2022. When it was complete, I had five Blue-Laced Red Wyandotte hens, five Easter Egger hens, five Black Copper Maran hens and one Black Copper Maran rooster.
I currently have a total of twenty four.
My flock consists of some Blue-Laced Red Wyandottes, some Easter Eggers, some Black Copper Marans, and some Maran/Wyandotte crosses and some Maran/Easter Egger crosses.
One of my favorite aspect of raising chickens is that they are super entertaining, especially when they run around after I toss some food out. I can hear the theme music from the Benny Hill show running through my mind.
My daughter and I decided to raise chickens after her dad passed. We also have dogs and cats who also enjoy the chickens.
I found BYC when I was having an issue and did a search with BYC being the main result. Thanks for being here to answer all my questions!
