First time online shopping

Hey guys, I'm going to order today from ideal and I just wanted to know some info from them like how old will the chicks be and where will they be coming from. Any other stuff will be appreciated thanks.

they are shipped within a day of hatching. They are located in Texas.

I bought 6 white cochin bantams last yr. I was hopin to at least get 2 pullets and to my surprise, I got all 6 as pullets! Tbey are beautiful for being hatchery stock.

Well I'm hoping to get a Roo but if not it's fine, they will be here Thursday ahhh I'm so excited

I will getting the chicks and Roos on Thursday will the Roos be the same age as the hens or will they be older?

The USPS requires the chicks to be shipped within 24 hours of hatching, so all chicks will be pretty much the same age if from the same place/shipment. Did you order straight run or sexed pullets/hens/females & cockerels/roosters/males? The only time you would get older birds would be if you ordered started birds, the shipping on them is usually a whole lot more expensive.

I ordered from ideal they just told me that there will be cockerels in the batch

Straight Run is when you order the chicks un-sexed, or as they were hatched, there should be about a 50/50 split on males/females hopefully, but it can vary either way.... or they were talking about "Packing Peanuts" as they call them on BYC, those are extra (almost always male) chicks put in the box to fill up small orders for extra warmth so the chicks have a better chance of making it... in either case, all the chicks would be the same age.
