Any important differences brooding poults from chicks?

I know to use game bird starter. Anything else? Can they also stay in the bator 48 hours?

feed high protien diet

we raise ours on a wire floor system so they don't get the diseases they would if they were in their waste.

yes you can leave them in the hatcher up to 72 hrs after hatch

after that just like a chick

I find they`re a little bit slower to get started. I make sure everybody gets a beak dip the first couple of days to find the water. They are worse about pecking at anything shiney; another poult`s butt, eye, etc., so I keep lots of shineys in the brooder.

They love marbles and the clear colored beads for parrots. Even a toy for parakeets with bright colors or silver bits can amuse them.

I like marbles for their water because they're much more attracted to color and sparkle than the chicks are. Makes it much easier for them to find and want to peck at the water dish.
