not sure I am doing this right, but wanted to say hello I am a new member and I love this site, it is a wealth of information, and all the members experience.
I have bantams old english game, and crele bantams. I have some buff silkies a month old. I like to watch them play and dig and give the older ones watermellon, today they ate some peaches. they will even following me walking around in the yard, its comical. Any advice on the feed or treats or special treatment for silkies
thanks

Hello and ;welcome

I don't know much about silkies, but I have to say my chickens love watermelon too. It's hilarious. It gets very hot in summer here, so we give the chickens melon, grapes and sometimes ice cream. :p

You should start your younger chickens on layer feed when they're about four months old. Ours refused to eat chick starter with the older girls' "cool food" around, but I've read on here that you probably shouldn't feed younger chicks layer food. :lau

Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site. :D
