First time raising chickens!

We have 6 Rhode Island Reds, and our dog Luci is still learning that she isn't allowed to eat them. BYC is fantastic, we've learned so much!

It's best if dogs and chickens NEVER meet. Dogs + chickens = dead chickens. Even just playing, a dog can easily kill a chicken. I think by the time you try to teach her not to eat any chickens, they will be long gone.

Actually, Luci has learned not to eat our cockatiel and has been around our friend's adult chickens with no issues . I wouldn't let her close to the chickens without supervision.
