Hello all - I am excited to find this site where hopefully I can learn about raising chickens and how to care for them. I have not had the best luck so far so hopefully that will change. I started with 6 speckled sussex chicks of which only 2 have survived. Currently treating them for respiratory illness. Fingers crossed.
We live in the country near state land and love all the wildlife. We have two dogs and two "pet" roosters who were dumped off out here and figured we might as well get some chickens instead of buying eggs from the neighbors.
