Hi there guys

I have 10
6 months old quails I like to shipp to a place about 6 hours from here, Buyer is not willing to drive but is interested in getting the shipped.

What size box do I need?

Can I put all 10 in 1 box?

Thank you

I just got some quail in the mail. LOL. It was a 6 stall box and 2 quail to a stall. They have to be shipped Express mail and that will run you $75-$140.
What kind of quail are you shipping?

Have never shipped quail but for that kind of shipping I think I would give them the option to just pay for the gas and me deliver them, it would come out about the same.

This are bobwhite quails
Silvers
orange
whites

Well with that kind of shipping that will boost his cost from $9 a bird to $16.50-$23 a bird, I think that kind of cost will probably discorage him from the purchase all togather.

It makes a big difference knowing what type of quail you are sending. Bobwhites are easily spooked, so you can't just toss them all in together, somebody would probably die. I believe the Omni NEST is the best choice. With the dividers, it cuts it down into 2, 4, 6, or 8 separate compartments. I would make it into the 8-compartment and put 2 females together in 2 of the compartments.

However, you can ship 3 of the single NESTS together, just connect them with tape real well. You'd probably have to make dividers for them, but those boxes are cheaper on this site: http://poultry2.tripod.com/id3.html

Actual
shipping should not be that much. Including the price of the box(es) you'd be around or below the low end ($75)
