This is the first time I've hatched eggs using an egg turner.
I understand on day 19 I should shut the Turner off so the chicks can position themselves to hatch and plug the holes to boost humidity.

My question is, should I remove the egg Turner and set the eggs on the wire our just shut it off in the up right position leaving the eggs small end down?

You want to remove the egg turner and lay the eggs on the incubator wire floor. Mostly, because your turner will end up a gooey mess. Secondly, so the chicks can more easily push their way out of the shells.
