Sent my son out to get chickens and he came home with 4 ducks. Had to go online and order the chicks. And so it begins. Lol Ducks are definitely sillier than chickens at this point. During quarantine we need all the laughs we can get. Have already gone thru questionable poo, injured leg and foamy eye. Gaining so much knowledge in a short period of time. I had 8 Rhode Island Reds 30 years ago in Arizona. Now looking for a nice Duck coop design. Mom to 6 kids (human kind) A Great Pyrenees, a terrier rescue , 4 ducks and 5 chicks. Since we can’t go out to ask others this is a wonderful resource place.

In many ways, I find ducklings easier to raise than chicks. On the other hand, they are infinitely messier.

And, I know what it's like going to get one kind of poultry and ending up with something else. I intended to get guinea keets; I got runner ducks. I meant to buy more chickens; I got American Buff geese. Some of us just can't be trusted around any kind of poultry!!

Welcome to the group. It's a great resource for anything and everything poultry!!
