my family and I are also raising cornish x's for the first time. We have 75 and hubby took a few to one of our trade days to sell, so not sure of the actual total count till he gets home. He left us with 40.
We are going to process them ourselvs for the first time as well. The family we bought them from sent me a great link off You Tube that he actually made on how he processes his chickens. He takes the skin off. I am going to do a few with the skin and some without. when they get a little bigger I plan on free ranging mine just to help cut down on feed, and to help build their muscles a little bit for when they get heavy. I am so looking forward to this and plan on making it family day for it as well. I have a friend who is going to come over and show us how in return we are going to let her take a few chickens home as well.
we are hitting the 2 week mark tuesday I believe I will have to check my calendar when they arrived.
