First Timer from NJ!

Hi all! I'm a human mom of 4 & a hen mom of 3. We are loving our little girls! Sadly, we called our town zoning board & found out chickens are NOT allowed (didn't find anything online so we just went for it) now we're nervous. We have nice neighbors but we didn't discuss the chickens with them.. frankly because it's not their business.. they don't check with us before adding to their family you know? Anyway, I'm hoping they are supportive when it comes down to it. We are planning on keeping our chicks no matter what! Currently gathering any & all information in case word gets out in our small town. I wish there were a guaranteed way to bypass this ridiculous law! Any success stories to share??
