This is our second batch we are trying to hatch. We have a still air incubator and the temp has been steady at 94* and humidity is at 70%This is day 23 and though there seems to be movement in the eggs they have yet to pip. Anyone know how long is too long in incubator?

Careful - I've left one too long and it exploded! Did you candle any of the eggs? This late into the incubation I wouldn't risk picking them up to candle - just in case they are settling still. I've waited a week after they were supposed to hatch before, and had only one late hatcher and none exploded that time.

The temp worries me though - eggs should ideally be kept at 99.5 degrees. Humidity around 55-60ish until closer to hatching - then you want it up towards 70+. If you don't see a pip in the next day or two, I'd say you probably won't see any at all :(

Good luck!

That's what I figured. I did do a water test today and it was a good test. I've tried to get the temp up but that's where it sits. I'm beginning to wonder if we got a bad incubator.

Oh and yes I candles them 3x previously starting around day 10 and they were fertile.

Hi and welcome to BYC. Do you think that it could be your thermometer that is not properly calibrated - just a thought...
