First Timer Prepping Like a Literal Nester

This thread helped me a GREAT deal so I wanted to update you all with how things are, now. We've fortified the top with 1/2 hardware cloth, added shade, and double walled the outter run, keeping the inner run closable, as well. They've been outside for a week, now, and so far things are going really well. Thank you, all, for helping me keep my girls (please be girls) healthy, safe, and comfortable! @fisher101 @aart

I'd cover the other half with solid roofing too, or at least the quarter over the coop.
Front 2 are pullets, can't see the combs on the others.
How old are they?

Oh, thank you so much for stopping by my posts. I'll look at what we can do to cover more of the area. We were focused on providing shade with that part, more shouldn't be too hard. Here are photos of all of the "girls". I am worried about one of them....

I present to you...Nugget, Hen Solo, Princess Laya, and Dixie Chick (with a little Laya thrown in). They are almost eight weeks old. 7.5 depending on exactly what day they were born. I think I got them on day two, maybe three.

All pullets...you'd see some raging red combs by 8 weeks.

G'bless you in all the ways for this news. I got them from what I assume to be a reputable hatchery and paid the extra few bucks for "confirmed" hens but I know that it can still be a bit of a crap shoot. I love them already and was going to be devastated to have to re-home any. I live nearby to folks with tons of property that could use roos so I know it wouldn't end up in a stock pot right away but still....Thank you!!!!
