The temperatures are varying from about 35-50 degrees throughout the days and I want to hatch some new chicks. I have one rooster and 8 hens. My goal was to collect eggs for 4 or 5 days and then put all of them in my hovabator. So I guess my question is about how I should store eggs. I know you keep them small end up and don't wash them, but how about temperature settings? Should I leave them on the table or put them in the fridge?

Also, if I put 5 days worth of eggs in the incubator at the same time will they hatch at the same time or will the eggs laid first also hatch first.

Thanks!

Store them with the pointy end down or on their side. Rotate them a couple times a day at least and keep them in the coolest place you have that isn't as cold as the fridge. 40-60 degrees or so. I sit my eggs I'm collecting on an ice tray on their side and roll them around 2 or 3 times a day. Our kitchen is lower than the rest of the house and it's not connected to the central air, so it's never too warm in there this time of year. I have 11 of my eggs setting and all 11 I collected are developing great.
