I have kept chicks with a bigger age gap than that together. I had no problems, that I can remember.I need an opinion or two. I have 10 sexlinks that are being shipped Feb 5. Can I put my new ees into the brooder with them on or about Feb 16? Will I have problems with them fighting?
Thank you. I will probably join in.You don’t have to, but here’s an thread explaining how to do a hatch-along:

Anything more than a 5 week age gap, is a no go. Even if it's less - those chicks will be strong and be able to walk well - newly hatched chicks take a while. I would wait until they can walk well and are strong before mixing them if there is more than a one week age gap.I need an opinion or two. I have 10 sexlinks that are being shipped Feb 5.
