New to BYC from Alabama. After a yr of thinking about (and some free very pallets from work) I decided to give it a shot. Coop is framed just gotta get roof and side on and it's ready.

! Pleased to have you with us! Lots of BYCers have constructed some really nice pallet coops. Doesn't need to be fancy and the chickens won't know the difference. Good luck to you and have fun with your future flock!

Thanks. My coop is as basic as it gets. Rectangle shaped with a roof sloped front to back. The chicken door/ramp will be on one broad side. On one skinny side will be the egg box and a door on the other for cleaning. Being new to chickens didn't want to spend a lot of $$$ and time on it. Excited about it though. If it works out I'm planning on another bigger pen for either for a dozen or so fryers or turkeys.

you will be building more coops, I can practically guarantee it -- it's an addiction and the enablers on here are legion. Resistance is futile.
