Hi BYC! As a first-time chicken owner, this website has been SO helpful. A huge THANKS to all you chicken experts out there.
My boyfriend has several acres of farmland in rural southeast Nebraska, and I've been bugging him about getting chickens for a few months now. Well, he caved and we've been proud chicken parents for the last few weeks. I thought I'd share a few highlights from our journey...
We started out with 5 Rhode Island Reds, which quickly multiplied to **16** hens! Go big or go home, I guess.

Coop with 10'x10' attached run under construction (slanted appearance is an optical illusion):

Completed Run:

Move-in day, YEEAHH!
