Hello ,

My Wife and I just recently decided that we were going to get chickens. So we set out to learn as much as we possibly can about raising chickens in the city. Wow there is a lot of information! Some common sence some never would of thought of.

I am almost done building our coop for a bunch of ideas I have seen around Where we live (Spokane Wa). We decided with a size of 4 feet by 5 and a half. From what I've researched that is more than enough for 4 Hens. Now we are in the process of trying to find the right chickens. Sadly We dont have enough time to raise them from chicks. Even though are kids would love it.
Does anyone know any local breeders in or around Spokane wa that have Easter Eggers and/or australorps? Any info or advice is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. If you can find "point of lay" pullets, they will probably be costly.
