First visit to "big girl house"

I went to our local hardware and tried to appear as helpless as possible... they cut it all for me! I left with 4 pieces that were 4 feet, 4 pieces that were 2 feet, 8 pvc corners, a bag of 6 inch zip ties and 8 feet of chicken wire. Wa La! The chicken wire was 4 feet wide so I really just put together the pvc in about 5 minutes, hooked on the chicken wire to a 4 foot section and unrolled the wire and kept turning the structure and zipping on the wire. I only had to cut the two end pieces to fit on the ends! Totally easy. I used old cardboard box on the floor and some zip tied some cardboard sections around the bottom to help keep in the shavings.

That sounds like one of the easiest enclosures I've heard of. Way to go with the helpless look!

Chickens are becoming a priority for me now, I love beagles too though i havent had one yet. Good job mom and daughter wit the chicks!

Yeah my beagles are awesome. If you're referring to me in my OP it's actually father & son lol. The mom gave me quite the look when we brought them home (I guess I didn't mention the part about not informing her of our plans) but she's coming around... :)

I set mine on a fitted sheet and pull the edges up the sides. I clothes pin the sheet on the corners and in the middle to hold them up and it really holds the "stuff" in. I get old sheets from Value Village for a dollar and just throw it away. I only go through 2 by the time the chicks are ready to go outside.
