Thanks to all this rain we've been having in FL, our little pond in the back finally filled up. Before this weekend, it looked pitifull.
I have taken my now almost 4 month old geese to visit the (dry) pond so that they would be familiar with the area, with hopes that they would visit it on their own once it filled up.
Wouldnt you know it, just add some water and my geese now think its a new & scary place
.
I thought that they would love a bigger place to swim in, since their pools arent that big, but my pansies only stood by the edge of the water.
Here's my dog enjoying the pond more than the waterfowl

I decided to venture in with my rainboots, to see if my geese would follow me in. They did, cautiously.

Very cautiously.

Finally getting in to float.

They haven't gotten over feeling intimidated by the "new" pond, considering they didnt venture far from my boots. I'm planning another field trip for them tomorrow.
