I have a spoiled flock. Flock of 7 have a 10' x 16' coop..well ventilated...poop boards ( cleanded daily )...deep litter...heated waterer...inside wall
lined with straw bales. It is currently 6 deg. F. They have not been in the coop since 7:00a.m.....And I doubt they will go to roost ( inside coop ) until
after 5:00p.m. Mine free range..and only stay in because of strong winds or heavy snow ( their choice ).
Though I swear they were watching tv ( top 100 sand & surf sites ) from living room window yesterday.....might have to clip their wings.
