First Winter with Ducks...I need your knowledge!

First let me just let me say that other than feeding them once a day with cracked corn, my ducks are on their own this winter. We let our ducks live on their own on our 1 acre pond. We are in North Carolina so the pond does not freeze.

However, as a child in the Boston area we had ducks. They didn't live thru the first winter. 2 of them froze into the "pond" that we had provided for them overnight. So do something to make sure your water does not freeze. You don't have to heat it up much past freezing, but just enough so they don't get stuck in the water and can't get out.

Aw you are too sweet. I'm sure that isnt true! If you have some pictures of your ducks, or duck house I'd love to see them! Post a link, or the pictures in here!

Oh that's terrible. Im not going to let them have access to a pool during the winter. I fear they may turn into ice cubes. I looked online and my local feed store sells a Heated Waterer for $35.00 that I'm going to get. Its 3 gallons so hopefully I wont have to fill it everyday. I figure if they are cold they can congregate around the water dish.
