So I have 6 seven-month-old hens (pullets) and winter or at least the colder days are coming. It rarely get cold enough to snow, but we do get frozen birdbaths and hail. Not to mention thunder storms. The ladies have little shady places all over the run and a tarp over a piece of it. However, the tarp has rips and is only used for shade. So should I take any precautions from the winter, or will they be fine?
